PUMPKIN DANCE!

It is that day once again. The day where children become beggars for sugary sustenance, teenagers toilet paper houses and East Nashville has a pub-crawl.

Today, friends, is Halloween. And what do we like to do on Halloween? The pumpkin dance.

This will most likely be the first time you have heard Sisco in five years.

Too bad Halloween is on a Monday not a Friday, otherwise this would be a great Halloween jam.

The Best Introduction, Ever From Henry Wagons

Henry Wagons, front man for Wagons, a much-celebrated band here on Brite, was kind enough to stop by for a visit while we were stationed up at Americana Fest this year.
Needless to say, Henry was also kind enough to do an intro to his Brite Session that we recorded that day in October, in a downtown hotel ballroom.

Henry took it upon himself to knock it clear out of the park, too.

See for yourself below and be sure to head over to our Brite Sessions page and watch Henry perform “I Blew It” all for you.

And don’t worry Henry, we think you did a fantastic job.

Creative Interns Needed!

Brite Revolution
Creative & Design Internship

Job Description:
Brite Revolution is a music discovery platform that connects artists and fans across multiple touch points: digital, print and mobile. But, dig a little deeper and it’s not hard to find our greater purpose — building community around the core principle of music discovery. We accomplish this by fostering community in a socially conscious environment and providing an expressive platform for artists to grow awareness for their work.

See, we think there’s an awful lot of talent out there that deserves a shot. We know there are tons of us who are eager to discover new music from a trusted source. And we also know there’s a lot of static that isn’t worth your time. We sort through the noise so you don’t have to. For our artists, we believe there is strength in numbers and encourage them to become advocates for other artists on the platform and partner with an organization that speaks to their heart. For our music fans, we deliver new music on a weekly basis and provide the tools for them to share their new finds with the world. Brite is about raising a flag and taking a stand. Guitar Hero On A Real Guitar

It seems the button mashing guitar-simulation game is being dropped in favor of the real thing.

French game developer (responsible for the Guitar Hero series Ubisof) has suffered from declining sales of hardware and games using the guitar controllers.

Now the company is in the direction of releasing hardware that allows you to plug in any electric guitar and play what is on the screen.

Sounds neat, huh? Some guitar gods aren’t sold on it being a useful tool for teaching but only time will tell as to whether it is a good platform for learning or not.

Full story here.
